On the afternoon of April 23, President Cong Mingcai met with a delegation led by Wang Jianhui, Party Secretary and Executive Director of China Translation Corporation. The meeting was attended by heads of relevant departments including the Academic Affairs Office, Research Office, Graduate School, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, Admissions and Career Office, International Exchange and Cooperation Office, and School of Advanced Translation and Interpretation.
President Cong extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced DUFL's educational history, academic programs, and distinctive talent cultivation features. He stated that the university is currently advancing the reform of its "foreign languages + professional skills" interdisciplinary talent cultivation model and deepening industry-education integration. He expressed hope that this exchange would serve as an opportunity to establish in-depth cooperation with China Translation Corporation in talent cultivation, internships and employment, and scientific research collaboration, jointly contributing to the development of high-quality translation professionals.
Executive Director Wang Jianhui expressed gratitude for the warm reception and provided a detailed introduction to the company's development history, business scope, and future plans. He noted that as a leading enterprise in China's translation industry, China Translation Corporation is willing to provide internship opportunities for students, assign experienced industry mentors to participate in talent cultivation, co-organize high-level translation competitions, and conduct collaborative research projects. He hoped both parties could leverage their respective strengths to establish a long-term, stable cooperative relationship and cultivate more outstanding professionals for the translation industry.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on establishing university-enterprise cooperation mechanisms, developing joint cultivation programs, and building practice bases, reaching multiple cooperative intentions to cultivate more outstanding talents for enhancing national translation capacity.
